Human vs Digital Transformation: Virtual Games And The Skill Of Neuroplasticity

People in the digital transformation process will play different roles at different stages. On the one hand, a person will act as a “beneficiary” of digital technologies. We will live better, more comfortably, better quality, less work; everything will be easier. On the other hand, some people may lose their jobs. Rather, she is already losing it. Some professions will disappear as a class.

Only a relatively small subset of people will be required in the early and middle stages of the global digital transformation. These people can set a task to mold the first digital tracing paper and make a matrix. Although, I admit that I will not need them later. There is a technology of auto-learning; when using certain approaches of artificial intelligence, we can understand a particular subject area. For example, you can compare traditional chess programs, in which programmers had tons of openings and endgames played by humans, and AlphaGo, which learned to play chess on its own, playing billions of games against itself.

If we talk about predictions of what will happen to people, we all watch films that describe our future, such as “The Matrix” or “Ready Player One.” People find artificial activities, such as virtual games. And in this case, two things can save us:

  1. First, big investments in the space industry. In this case, everyone will find something to do. The space is big. It is long-term.
  2. The second is short-term, from people’s point of view. It would help if you were ready to change your profession several times in your life. It is necessary to teach people from childhood the skills of preserving neuroplasticity, the possibility of restructuring the brain, and the readiness to switch to another job. If before a person went to school, went to a technical school or studied at an institute, then worked and finally retired with the feeling that they lived life. He took place as a specialist, now many leave the institute and change at 35 years profession, and then at the age of 50, another regular change may occur. To survive this shift, you need to maintain the skill of “learn and learn” and keep the brain in a state of readiness to perceive something new.

Which Business Areas Are Ready For Digital Transformation

Nowadays, digital transformation can be seen almost everywhere. There are repeatable processes and room for optimization. Wherever there is an opportunity to use the scale

Every time I walk past a construction site, I have a bunch of associations in my head about modern technologies in construction: augmented reality, drones, and the Internet of things. Of course, there are areas where digital transformation doesn’t work very well.

This is training. Of course, there are digital technologies in education: this is Zoom, Microsoft Teams, electronic textbooks, training videos. But according to all the studies, it turns out that teaching with a human teacher is still better. There are also trends here: it is predicted that teaching will move to small-group teaching and large digital lectures.
