Launched in 2017, it is also known by the acronym M365 and by its creators it was presented as the grouping of the Office 365 suite combined with Windows 10 and Enterprise Mobility + Security.

Office 365 is the bulk of M365 and the individual Office apps can be installed on a total of 5 PCs or Macs, 5 mobile devices, and 5 tablets, giving users maximum freedom in using them. Microsoft 365 is available in three editions: Business, Enterprise, and Education. In the first case, plans and prices vary, depending on the functionalities needed by the company, from a minimum of € 6.70 to a maximum of € 53.70 per month, excluding VAT and considering an annual subscription.

With M365, the way we work has been reinvented, especially during the health emergency, through connected audio/video services such as Microsoft Teams which in 2020 exceeded 75 million users per day.

Within Microsoft 365, Teams interacts with various apps, such as Power BI which, with an intuitive and simple to use interface, offers the possibility of creating interactive views and reports; BI stands for Business Intelligence, which is the analysis and collection of data within a company for strategic purposes.

Overall, the teamwork is strengthened, especially in the videocalls, during which Microsoft offers the possibility to access files in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and all the data in the cloud, through OneDrive, with a capacity of 1 TB, and SharePoint, for manage files and folders inside and outside the company. Documents uploaded to conversations are included in a library for easy and secure access from multiple devices.

Other tools to increase productivity are PowerApps, which turns simple ideas into practical solutions by facilitating app creation, and Power Automate which helps automate processes such as document management, workflows, marketing campaigns, payment reminders, and document approval.

To reduce the possibility of threats, Microsoft 365 offers Windows Hello for Business which replaces password authentication with other options such as facial recognition, iris scan, fingerprint, or PIN. Microsoft 365 is placed on the market as a solution that includes collaboration tools, IT configuration and management systems, and platforms for internal and external communication. Jared Spataro, Microsoft’s corporate vice president, recently announced that 25% of Office 365 licenses are purchased through Microsoft 365.
