Zepp Flow Arrives On Amazfit Smartwatches: Wrist-Based AI

Zepp Health announces the arrival of Zepp OS 3.5 with Zepp Flow, the natural language voice-based user interface integrated into smartwatches

Zepp Health Corporation announced the official arrival of Zepp OS 3.5 with Zepp Flow, a natural language user interface (LUI) powered by a Large Language Model (LLM), fully integrated into the operating system that, for the first time, brings such a tool on a smartwatch.

We start with the Amazfit Balance, which will be the leader among the Chinese company’s products to receive the update, which will gradually be available on many of the other Amazfit devices on the market.

How Zepp OS 3.5 Works With Zepp Flow

Speaking about this news, Wayne Huang, CEO of Zepp Health Corporation, said: “ With dedicated research and development teams located in North America, Europe, and Asia, we are committed to driving innovation and delivering unparalleled user experiences to deliver smart healthcare solutions that empower people to take control of their well-being .”

For this reason, Zepp Flow was designed to understand natural language, effectively eliminating the need for specific commands and allowing users to speak directly to their smartwatch.

Using the voice, therefore, the user will be able to start or stop a workout, set alarms and reminders, read notifications from the smartphone connected to the watch, or answer phone calls.

This is a very convenient innovation, especially while doing sports, which is when it takes work to interact with the watch through average touches on the screen.

This innovation, on the one hand, makes the user experience much simpler and more immediate and, on the other, contributes to a greater diffusion of AI tools, which are gradually touching the most disparate sectors, including those relating to user health and fitness.

Furthermore, Wayne Huang continued, the Chinese company’s future commitment is to bring these intelligent features not only to smartwatches but also to all those devices that are part of the same ecosystem, such as smartphones that use the official application and the earphones always produced by the technology giant, so as to guarantee a fluid and intuitive experience on all platforms.
